Why book this way

Why travellers switch to eSIM

An eSIM is a digital SIM built into most recent phones. You add a travel data plan without removing your usual SIM.

Nothing to swap

No tiny SIM tray or lost home SIM. The plan installs digitally on your phone.

Prepaid and predictable

You pay for the data plan upfront, so there are no surprise roaming bills when you get home.

Regional plans

One plan can cover several countries, which suits multi-stop trips across Asia or Europe.

How it works

Three steps

Check your phoneMake sure your phone supports eSIM and is unlocked by your network.
Pick a planChoose your destination, data amount and how many days you need.
Install, then flyScan the QR code on Wi-Fi before you leave, and switch the eSIM line on when you land.

Tips from Fazla

From someone who prices and issues airline tickets for a living
  • Install the eSIM at home on Wi-Fi. Hotel or airport Wi-Fi is not the place to troubleshoot.
  • Set the eSIM as your data line and leave your home SIM on for calls and OTP text messages from your bank.
  • Maps, ride-hailing and video calls use more data than you think. Size up one step if unsure.
  • Going for Umrah? Pick a plan that clearly covers Saudi Arabia, and download offline maps of Makkah and Madinah as a backup.

Questions

Frequently asked

Does my phone support eSIM?

Most recent iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel models do. Look for an option such as “Add eSIM” in your mobile or cellular settings. Your phone also needs to be unlocked by your network.

Will my WhatsApp number change?

No. WhatsApp stays linked to the number you registered. The eSIM only provides the internet connection.

When should I install it?

Before you travel, while you are on stable Wi-Fi. Check the plan details: some start counting days when installed, others when first connected at your destination.

Can I still receive bank OTP messages?

Usually yes, if you keep your home SIM switched on for calls and SMS. Roaming charges from your home network may apply to those messages.
